Long live the Maxi Dress!

Turn your summer maxi dress into your fall favorite!

Do you have a favorite Maxi dress that you think only works for one season? do you get sad when it's time to pack it away? well think again..wouldn't it be great if you could simply wear your favorite maxi dress from summer to winter? well you can! there's no one stopping you! Take the above picture for example.. this maxi dress is in a neutral tone that can go for any season. You just have to know how to accessorize it! For summer, I would lose the sweater in this picture and the shoes. I would wear more of a sandal type shoe. I see this outfit in the above picture as more of a transition outfit from summer to fall or from winter to spring because of the sweater and the peep toe shoes. It is as simple as a pair of shoes to decide what season an outfit is meant for. Want to turn this dress into a fall/winter outfit? simply add boots or flats and there you have it! You're very own versatile Maxi Dress.

Necklace's That Make A Statement

Everywhere you go, the newest fashion trend you see are large, chunky, statement necklace's. These necklace's can add the perfect touch to a otherwise boring outfit or add the extra pizzaz to an already amazing outfit! These necklace's come with chunky jewels or in bib form and are the perfect accessory to any outfit! Dress them up or down!

Spruce up your boot life!

Love your boots...
Everyone has those one pair of boots that look GREAT with every outfit. They're comfortable and you just love them! Well sometimes you get a little bored of wearing the same pair of boots. Why not spruce them up a little? Give them a pop of color to match your outfit? That's why boot socks or leg warmers (also known as wellies for you Hunter boot wearers) are the perfect solution!

These socks/warmers keep your feet and legs warm while adding the extra element you need/want in your outfit!

A day at the office - from an interns point of view

I finally made it in to the office around 9:30. I was fortunate to take the later train this morning. Commuting can be a hassle but it is all part of the experience. My mother is my boss (has its advantages and disadvantages). I'm sure many of you are like "I would LOVE my mother to be my boss" and some are like "OH MY GOODNESS NO! never in a million years will my mother be my boss"... Well I'm right in the middle of those opinions. I love that she's my boss because it definitely helps me to learn the ropes a lot easier. I'm not afraid of her or messing up (which is a possibility if this is your first time interning). But then sometimes I hate it... she bosses me around just like she would at home. I know its her job but she does it differently with me.

I stop by the Cafe next door for my morning iced tea and my mothers Iced Coffee. Then up the elevator and I'm greeted by our lovely receptionist with a warm smile and hello. I sit in our office just blocks from Times Square. It's a chic space with very modern decor. Our offices are located in the show room. Although I just sit at the table in the middle of the collection. My mother gives me work to do shortly after breakfast, "Gewls, update the contact list..." or "gewls, clean out the storage room" or "gewls, call people from the show to make show room appointments!" I love my interning position at Mosaicon. Currently they carry the brands Francesco Biasia, Mandarina Duck (luggage) and Aglini (ready to wear). And again, for those of you familiar with Francesco Biasia, yes! They are back in the states! The collection looks great (I want to snag a few bags for myself!) and has had a VERY positive reaction upon its return. Look out fashion world! Biasia is back!

Finally, 5:50 rolls around and I have to run to Penn Station to catch my 6:20 train! My days definitely have kept me on my toes for the last few weeks of summer vacation (a vacation that ended all too quickly, even though I've been off for 3 months). School is barreling around the corner, move-in is Sept. 3rd. I can't believe Sophomore year is beginning.. and before I know it, summer will make its appearance yet again.

ENK NYC - Francesco Biasia

Me in the Francesco Biasia booth- ENK NYC

I was lucky to tag along to the ENK show in NYC at the Javits center with my mother. She needed extra help in the booth. Thankfully I did because this day was when I landed my Internship with the company! Her boss saw how hard I worked over the 3 day show and offered me an internship for the rest of the summer until I go back to school (with possibility of working from school!) And for those of you who are familiar with the brand Francesco Biasia, yes! they are back in the states!

How this blog is going to work...

This blog is going to consist of a lot of fashion photography. I will eventually start doing product reviews as well! (which I'm excited to do) and company reviews. I will talk about a lot of unknown stores or companies as well. I'm excited to get this started and I hope you're excited to follow in this fabulous fashion journey!
